Big Time Coin Auctions

There are a number of popular places online where coin auctions are underway around the clock. Obviously, eBay comes to mind right away. Then there is an outfit called Teletrade, which is familiar to quite a few collectors, plus others. However, when it comes to the big dollar, ultra rare coins worth hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars, only a few players step up to the plate. Auctions of this magnitude are often held over a two or three day period in swank surroundings, sometimes in affiliation with major coin shows. Onlline bidders can join in on the action too. We've listed a couple of our favorite big auction companies here. The results from big auctions are where most of the info for our Rare American coins database comes from.
