    <description>An 1804 Draped Bust Silver Dollar sold for $3.738 million on April 17.  The winning bid was placed through the Internet.  Prior to the sale, the fabled coin was professionally cleaned and judged by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation as a PF-62.  The seller purchased the silver dollar in 1993 for $475,000.</description>

The most valuable coin trading hands for the month was a $20 St. Gaudens double eagle of 1907 (Hi relief, wire rim), which brought in $517,500.  PCGS assigned a nearly perfect grade of MS-69 to the coin.  A trio of $4 gold coins followed: 1880 Flowing Hair PF-66 NGC at $488,750, 1879 Flowing Hair PF-66 NGC at $230,000, and 1879 Flowing Hair PF-65 Cameo PCGS at $218,500.</description>
