When people complained about the 1793 Flowing
Hair Chain Reverse Large Cent as a bad omen for liberty, the Mint
quickly replaced the chain with a wreath. It lasted only a short while
too, replaced by the Liberty Cap Large Cent before the end of 1793. If you are researching retail values for other
